We ARE stuck with it.

It won't get demolished & rebuilt and we will never get permission to build a place of our own anywhere on or near our manor so we can then leave.

The best that can happen is that every time a criticism of the ground pops up, it gets firmly nailed on that cunt Coe's front door.

As I said to David Gold over 5 years ago, if athletics stadiums are so great for staging football matches how come clubs all over Europe have been leaving them to build purpose-built football grounds.

Being miles from most of the action at athletics doesn't really matter because it's a once in a lifetime experience and you can put up with it knowing you're unlikely to be returning. Being miles from the action at football does matter, because you're going a couple of dozen times a year and paying a small fortune for the privilege.

EXPERTS!

"It was set up for athletics so has shallow sight-lines, meaning many fans simply don't have a good view."

Then how was it a good view for athletics then?

What a fucking gormless pile of shit!

The problem is with segregation, nothing else. It's a fucking stadium with seats surrounding a football pitch. Anyone would think we are the first club to play at an athletics stadium.

Saying that, I welcome the demolishing it and rebuilding it for football only. Not sure the government nor the tax payers will be too happy to provide the funds though.

Only 98.5 years to go and we can fuck it off.

Spurs had the right idea, knock the fucker down and start again.

If Spurs had won the stadium rights, there would have been a melt down on WHO. It's terrible, being forced to play in a modern 60k stadium, just typical of our luck!

Haven’t been, but watching the stream against Chelsea for the first time you got the sense that is wasn’t as bad as has been made out, remember the commentators saying as much as well after the 2nd goal went in, and then the noise in the stadium, it sounded and I got the feeling the place was rocking!

I am genuinely enjoying every experience there and I think I've been to seven matches now.

Experts, journalists.. I bet hardly any of them have even been to a game.

Love to know if the so called experts have been to the stadium.

Can't condone the so called violence; more like pushing and shoving , but the noise inside was electric.

The club do need to have better segregation built inside main concourses and more police dividing fans inside the ground.

Other than that they can't do much about the wide open spaces in the park. Most modern grounds are built in similar environments.
I guess longer term more apartments and shops will be built In those bits.

Lots of people jumping on the bandwagon here.

If it is so obvious that the stadium is not fit for football why were the experts not saying this before a game had been played, rather than swallowing Brady's propaganda?

Nothing wrong with stadium its human errors regarding segregation bit of money and better management is needed, sign of the times in this country of ours.

Nothing wrong with the stadium? The stand is 25 yards from the pitch!

What complete and utter bollocks.

Sight lines are fantastic because of the bowl shape. Segregation must be really good now as despite there being a hundred or so from each side intent on getting to each other, none of them did!! He failed to mention that the atmosphere is fantastic at the Chelsea game and, pound for pound, was better at the other games than it would have been at Upton Park.

Yes there were some segregation issues when the stadium first opened. Yes they may me some people in some seats lower down in the east and west stands that may be further from the pitch than they might have wanted, but they would have been further away in any modern stadium than they were are UP.

It seems like a typical Daily Mail sensationalist journalism to earn a journo some money.

Separation of fans outside the stadium and in the surrounding area, now there's a problem!!

I was speaking to some Chelsea who went on Wednesday and they were well impressed with the atmosphere and the stadium in general.

But still all our old folk moan about not having to go to a stinking shithole of a ground. Boring.

It's our new stadium. The probability of it being pulled down or significantly redeveloped in any of our lifetimes is virtually zero. The only thing that would force change if if there was so much objection that the crowds dwindled to less that 25,000. So, if people don't like it, just don't go. No point constantly moaning on this site is there.

Did anyone ever sit st the back of the west stand? The view was shit and you were mikes essays from the action. The east stand barely had room to fit one arse cheek on the seat, had restricted view areas and was 20 yards from the pitch

Upton Park = not suitable for football
